Challenge for week 3: Fake or reboot your commute!

Lots of people have started to do a ‘fake commute’ because of home working, it allows you to get some vital exercise in and sets you up nicely for the day. Walking before work also guarantees you’ll enjoy some of those limited hours of light we get during winter.

If you can’t manage a walk before work, then ending the day with a walk can help you wind down.

Whenever you walk, starting or ending the day with a wander is also a great way to define your working day – especially if you’re working from home – helping you have a healthy work/life balance.

If you are still commuting then incorporating some walking into your commute is a good and efficient way to introduce some exercise into your life and relax, and that’s what these challenges are about.

For some of you, this may mean skipping a couple of bus stops or parking the car a bit further away. Some may even be able to break out of the routine and walk the whole way.
