Celebrating National Vegetarian Week!

Eating your greens is the new black...

The National Vegetarian Society run this annual campaign to get people off the meat and into the green stuff – or orange, red, pink, purple, yellow – the list goes on. Vegetarian diets are becoming more and more popular as people see the benefits…

Vegetables offer a vibrant, colourful alternative to meat – it’s a healthier diet and good for the planet with cattle producing a large portion of greenhouse gasses.

A diet with  less meat can help to reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke and obesity.

So, why not embrace a week of going meat free and see if you can feel the benefit? You’ll certainly lower your carbon footprint which is wonderful for the planet. A more plant based diet helps reduce carbon emissions to tackle climate change. With climate change already impacting on our health, any way we can make a positive difference will help us all staff healthier in the longer term.
