Sussex NHS trust’s staff engagement work recognised for Wellbeing@Work Festival
Exciting recognition by prestigious awards
Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust’s work on staff engagement has been shortlisted for this year’s HSJ (Health Service Journal) Awards.
The Sussex based NHS community trust has been named as a finalist in the ‘staff engagement’ category for its work to improve staff health and wellbeing including a ‘Wellbeing@Work Festival’ it hosted in May this year, which was created as part of its ongoing Dare to Care engagement programme. Dare to Care aims to help staff do things differently for a better working life and a greener NHS.
The prestigious HSJ awards have for over 35 years recognised, celebrated, and promoted the finest achievements in the NHS, encompassing the full spectrum of the NHS’s services and challenges.
Siobhan Melia, Chief Executive, Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust said “Our aim is to make sure our team are as happy and healthy as possible. That benefits everyone including our patients. There is lots more we want to do and I think this national recognition will help us to make even more progress.
Winners will be announced at the HSJ Awards on Wednesday 22nd November.
